What Matters to God is Faithfulness

Introduction

In a world that often celebrates size, power, and influence, God reminds us that what truly matters to Him is faithfulness. Faithfulness is not measured by how big a church is or how many resources it has, but by its steadfastness in walking with God, holding onto His Word, and persevering through challenges.

Drawing from Revelation 3:7–13, this message highlights why New Creation Church Kuala Lumpur (NCCkl) stands as a faithful church in God’s eyes.

NCCkl Have Little Strength

The church in Philadelphia was commended by Jesus even though it had “little strength.” Similarly, NCCkl may not be the largest church or the most resource-rich, but God honors the faithfulness of His people.

Having “little strength” is not a weakness—it’s a testimony that we rely fully on God’s power rather than our own. NCCkl continues to stand firm, trusting God to open doors that no one can shut.

NCCkl Have Kept God’s Word

Faithfulness is proven through obedience. Despite challenges, distractions, and cultural pressures, NCCkl remains rooted in the truth of God’s Word. The commitment to preach the true gospel of the water and the Spirit is what sets this church apart.

By holding firmly to God’s Word, NCCkl has become a light in the world—pointing people away from religion, tradition, and human effort, and back to the finished work of Jesus Christ.

NCCkl Have Kept God’s Command to Persevere

Faithfulness also means enduring hardship without giving up. NCCkl has faced seasons of testing, but by God’s grace, the church has pressed on with perseverance.

This perseverance shows that NCCkl’s faith is not shallow or fleeting—it is anchored in God’s promises. The church continues to serve, worship, and reach out, no matter the obstacles, reflecting the spirit of a faithful bride waiting for her Lord’s return.

Conclusion

What matters most to God is not worldly success, size, or influence—it is faithfulness. And NCCkl exemplifies this through their reliance on God’s strength, their steadfast commitment to His Word, and their perseverance in the face of challenges.

Just as the church in Philadelphia was promised an open door, protection, and a crown of victory, NCCkl too walks in this same promise. Truly, NCCkl is a faithful church—not because of human effort, but because of God’s grace working through His people.

Let us be encouraged to follow this example: to remain faithful, no matter how small or weak we may feel, for faithfulness is what matters most to God.
