The Working Power of the Word
The greatest power given to the believer is found in the Word of God. God’s Word is not ordinary speech, human opinion, or religious tradition. It is inspired by God, authoritative in all it declares, and sufficient for everything concerning salvation, sanctification, spiritual maturity, and righteous living. The Word was given to transform us inwardly so that we increasingly reflect the likeness of Christ. It is central to the believer’s life because it shapes our understanding, renews our hearts, and directs how we live before God.
Truth Matters – Resurrection as a Lifestyle
What sets the Christian faith apart is not only the promise of life after death, but the reality of new life now. Other belief systems may speak of what happens after death, but the Gospel of water and the Spirit declares that believers can begin living the resurrection life even while still in this body. Christ lives in His people today. This means the power of the resurrection is not limited to a future event—it is a present experience, available every moment to those who are truly born again. Today, I want to lead you through three key truths from Scripture that show us how to live this resurrection life.
Purity Matters
By faith in the Gospel of water and the Spirit, living a life of purity is not impossible; rather, it is the natural outcome of a life transformed by right faith and sound doctrine. Purity is also the result of a life lived in accountability. It matters because it reflects the authenticity of our faith, and when we live with the awareness that God sees us and that our conduct affects those around us, we are compelled to turn away from sin and walk in a way that honors Him. In today’s message, we will explore three key defenses to guard and maintain purity in our lives: fleeing from impurity, pursuing God’s purity, and walking in godly fellowship.
The Watchman’s Duty
As believers, we are not passive recipients of God’s grace. We are those who have received the true gospel of the water and the Spirit. Jesus Christ took away all our sins through His baptism, bore our judgment on the cross, and rose again to give us new life. Through this complete work, we are made whole and reconciled to God. This truth is not partial, but complete, and it is this very gospel that fills the emptiness in the hearts of men and brings true life. In today’s message, we will look at three essential responsibilities that define a watchman’s life: being alert to spiritual danger, being bold to proclaim the truth, and being accountable for the ministry entrusted to us.
