Are You Wise or Foolish?
Throughout Scripture, God consistently contrasts the wise with the foolish. Whether it is the wise man building his house on the rock, the five wise virgins who were prepared for the bridegroom’s arrival, or Noah faithfully preparing the ark before the flood, God’s message remains the same: wisdom believes His Word, obeys it, and prepares for eternity before it is too late. As we look at James 3:13–18, we will consider three important truths: The Source, The Choice, and The Revelation of Wisdom.
True Salvation is Deliverance
Last weekend, New Creation Church KL held its Deeper Conference with the theme True Salvation is Deliverance. It was a powerful time of teaching and reflection, reminding the church that salvation is not simply a profession of faith or a religious ritual, but God’s act of rescue. Scripture consistently shows that salvation means being delivered—taken out of darkness into light, out of bondage into freedom, and out of the dominion of Satan into the kingdom of Christ.
Submission is God-Pleasing Sacrifice
Submission is one of the most essential yet most misunderstood truths in Christian life. Many people struggle with this word because the flesh naturally resists authority, correction, and surrender. From the very beginning in the Garden of Eden, mankind’s downfall began with a refusal to submit to God’s Word. Satan deceived Eve into rejecting God’s instruction, and through disobedience, humanity inherited a sinful and rebellious nature that continues to oppose God even today.
A Diagnosis of Sensuality
As we conclude the monthly focus on sensuality, it is important to examine our hearts honestly before God. Sensuality is not only about outward sinful behaviour. A person can appear very active in church, look religious outwardly, and yet still walk in the flesh. This is why we need spiritual discernment. The real issue is not merely what we do externally, but whether we are living by the Spirit of God or by our own strength and human effort.
