Cleanse Your Way
God saved us not only to forgive our sins but to transform us into the image of His Son. As 1 Thessalonians 4:7 reminds us, God has called us “not to impurity, but in holiness.” This transformation begins with a renewed mind as we allow God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. In a world filled with increasing darkness and deception, our greatest safeguard is not merely avoiding external influences but allowing God to cleanse and renew the very source from which our lives flow—the mind.
Dangers of Living for Sensual Pleasure
As the world continues to pursue sensual pleasure without restraint, the effects become increasingly visible in every area of life. This message therefore examines three serious dangers that arise from living according to the flesh: the effects of pride and selfishness, the absence of morality, and the misconception of anger and vengeance. Through God’s Word, we are reminded not to follow the direction of the world, but to remain spiritually alert and steadfast in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
What You Sow is What You Get
The passage in Galatians 6:7–10 reminds us of an unchanging truth established by God: what a person sows is exactly what he will reap. Just as the physical world is governed by laws that never change, the moral and spiritual realm is also governed by absolute laws established by the Creator Himself. Whether it is gravity, science, or nature, every action carries a consequence. In the same way, when a person continually sows into the flesh, corruption and destruction follow, but when one sows into the Spirit, eternal life and spiritual blessing are produced.
Warning for Carnal Believers
Through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, by believing in Jesus’ baptism, death, and resurrection, we have already been set free from sin. Our sinful nature has been judged and condemned in His body. Because of this, we are heaven-bound, not because of our efforts, but because of our faith in what He has done. Yet, even with this truth, the flesh still remains present, and the pull of sensuality is still real. That is why the Word of God calls us not just to believe, but to walk in the Spirit.
